What is an Allergy?
Revolutionary Skin Testing
An allergy is simply an immune response by the body to allergens (such as dust, pollens, grass, molds, or animal dander) that the body has become hypersensitive to. The good news is most allergies are treatable conditions. The first step to ending your allergies forever is to find out exactly which allergens are causing your annoying and debilitating symptoms. When an allergy is suspected, only an allergy test can identify what you are allergic to allowing your physician to successfully treat your allergy problem.
You may have allergies if you regularly suffer from the following:
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Itchy nose
- Sore or itchy throat
- Red, itchy or watery eyes
- Chronic bronchitis or coughing
- Frequent ear infections
- Itchy skin, rash or hivesThe 20 minute no needles test! Our skin test evaluates you for seventy different environmental allergens. Your skin’s reactions to these allergens are measured after 15-20 minutes. The level of your body’s reaction to these allergens can indicate your sensitivity to a particular allergen. The test results are available immediately at our Medical Center, therefore eliminating the need to wait for lab reports.Identifying your body’s unique triggers is critical since the first step to effective allergy treatment is avoidance of these irritants, if possible. If additional treatment is warranted, the skin testing results provide the evidence based data we need to recommend the correct Immunotherapy treatment.
